Reese Holohan, rider of Two Brigade, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung slightly right in the home straight.
319D1 Celebrate Your Special Occasion H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final fifty yards involving Go Out (FR), ridden by T. Casey, placed second, and Una Matata, ridden by S. Coen, placed third, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. T. Casey stated that his mount came over a little bit and that there was a little bump. S. Coen stated that felt that he was carried violently right from the one furlong marker to the winning post. He further stated that his mount became unbalanced fifty yards from the winning line and felt that it had cost him second place. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Go Out (FR) had caused interference to Una Matata, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that T. Casey, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard (third offence) they suspended him for eight racedays.
S. Coen, rider of Una Matata, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was interfered with from the one furlong pole to the winning line.
319E BAR 1 Betting 'Supp. Irish Racing' H'capThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident early in the home straight, where it appeared Cool Azul, ridden by W.J. Lee, bumped Boston Benjamin, ridden by Nina Doherty. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
W.J. Lee, rider of Cool Azul, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.
319F View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium H'capThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the approach to the first bend, where it appeared Tyraces, ridden by M. T. Sheridan, had to take back off heels and made slight contact with Lamberella, ridden by R.C. Colgan. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
319G Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk H'capThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from Mr David O'Brien the Authorised Representative of Gordon Elliott, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Hygge (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr David O'Brien stated that his charge boiled over the last day and the race was not run to suit him. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.
